The MHRH Volunteer Services Department is committed to providing a central system for developing and implementing Volunteer programs that support and assist the needs of our health care and, as well, to support and assist patients, residents and family members. At the same time, the department is committed to providing a need of satisfaction for all volunteers.

Services: Book Mobile - provide patients with a selection of reading materials. Cancer Clinic - host or hostess. Cardiac Rehab - assist with clerical projects. Cystonomy Clinic - assist with patient flow during clinic. Gift Shop - retail outlet in sales. H.E.L.P.P. - assist in selling pull tickets. Humour Room - host or hostess to patients, family members and residents. Information Desk - provide information to the general public. Mail Delivery - deliver inter-departmental mail to different units. Nutrition Services - assist patients in marking and picking up menus. One to One Visits - visit patients/residents who are isolated and/or lonely. P.A.R.T.Y. - assist staff with grade 9 program. Recreation Programs - volunteer with elderly residents in a variety of settings. Two East Unit - assist staff with nourishments and feedings.
